A few years ago I used to struggle with drum solo ideas. I felt that everything had been done before, and that there was no real way I could truly differentiate myself from the other drummers out there. This really discouraged me, as I was practicing hard every day to develop new skills - only to see that I still had so much more to learn.

I was blown away by the concept! The truly unique method was so simple - yet nobody else seemed to know anything about it. I began showing some of my drum students how it worked, and they were completely blown away by the idea. I absolutely had to use it in a drum solo!
A few weeks later, I was playing a show that was to end with a drum battle between the three drummers that had played that night. I decided this was the night to bring out my new trick!
