EAST BOLDON 1895 SHEET NUMBER 8.01 BRAND NEW, UNUSED IN SUPERB CONDITION This map is taken from the 1/2500 plans and reproduced by Alan Godfrey at about 15 inches to the mile, it is highly detailed and covers an area of about one and a half square miles This very detailed map covers the village of East Boldon, midway between Sunderland and South Shields. The Newcastle & Sunderland railway runs through the map which includes Cleadon Lane (later East Boldon) station. Various brick works are the only sign of industry.
