OLD CROSS STITCHED "YIELD NOT" FRAMED LINEN SAMPLER

Description :

This framed vintage 1940's linen CROSS STITCH EMBROIDERED SAMPLER measures approximately 10 3/4"w x 12 3/4"h...perfect for any textile or decorative arts display! Neatly cross stitched in pastel colors, verse reads: "Yield Not To Temptation". Lots of additional embroidery using a variety of stitches illustrates the motto, showing a beribboned kitty cat torn between her dish of food and the the fish bowl! Initialed and dated 1947 in lower right corner. Framed under glass as found with 1/2"w simple black wooden frame and wire on back for hanging. This unique piece shows no holes, tears, stains, broken or repaired parts. Some random expected age related discoloration of linen. All colors and graphics are sharp & clear. A FUN addition to any VINTAGE CROSS STITCH EMBROIDERY/SAMPLER/MOTTO TEXTILE/COUNTRY DECORATING collection! Buyer pays shipping/insurance costs.
