Am selling some of my bigger items, now the kids have their own places and don't want them either, ha!
This is a cast iron fire basket, suitable I think for use with logs or coal, or just decorative in an inglenock or alcove.
I have no idea of it's age, but thought it was very unusual when I bought it years ago.
It has a fleur de lys on each top corner. One of these is a little bent, but hey, doesn't that just add to the appeal! I haven't painted it, it is just as I have stored it with a little surface rust which should come off easily.
