OLD BEAUTIFUL AFRICAN ETHIOPIAN CHRISTIAN CROSS PENDANT





This is a very old hand made Ethiopian Amhara cross pendent.

In Ethiopia particularly among the Orthodox Church followers, to wear a cross implied to be protected by the lord himself as well as to show that they are a devoted Christians. Neck or Pictorial crosses are tied round their owner's neck with a piece of blue thread or cord, which was sometimes given to the wearer at baptism.

This particular neck cross pendent is old and has been used. 

Measures approximatelty 1.5" X 1"  4 X 3 cm
