OLD Argentina Sterling Yerba Tea Cup & Bombilla Straw

Actually it's a gourd with decorated sterling silver - It was used for drinking a South American herbal tea called Yerba Mate - The brewing and drinking of the tea is a social or ritual event -  the tea has ancient origins and medicinal qualities.

This has age to it - the gourd is nicely aged although there is some cracking - I have difficulty reading the bottom but it is marked: Argentina, de Plata 925 - Measures approx: 4 inches high by 3 inches in diameter and the Bombilla Straw measures approx. 8 inches long
