Up for auction is an early unusual size, shape, and color demijohn bottle.

Small bottle, must hold about half a quart (of whiskey or water), measures 8 1/4” tall, 5 ½” across at the widest point, and 4” wide at the widest flat measurement.

Unusual shape, I see this form in the very large Demi-john bottles, not normally this small.

Rich yellow green to olive amber color, ideal for country decoration or window display, heavy crude glass, glass blowers open pontil, bubbles and mold lines, Civil War era 1850s-1860s, early applied top.

Bottle is in great condition, no chips, cracks, or repairs. Has very slight dirt/content haze at the bottom ¼” inside, saw a pin head flake or open bubble on the top lip, I think this is a great bottle!!

A fine early utility bottle, colorful odd shape addition for your collection or window display.
