This is the best Midi Controller keyboard we've ever come across- personally I've been waiting for a product like this to come along since I first started using Soft-synths about 8 years ago!
Basically, you have a whole host of different controller types- faders for level control, buttons for on/off or solo/mute actions, endless rotaries for synth editing, drum pads for triggering samples or loops and a very high quality 25 key keyboard with Aftertouch.
Add in a powerful X/Y controller pad and a well balanced Pitch Bend/Mod controller, 1 MIDI in and 2 MIDI outs AND the incredible power of the Automap facility and you can see why we're so excited about it!
Automap currently works with 4 main Applications- Cubase SX, Logic, Reason and Ableton Live- it intelligently maps controllers and follows your actions on screen- in Reason, as you select different tracks- Mixer, Maelstrom, NN-19 etc., the Remote 25 SL instantly displays the corresponding parameters on it's huge LCD screen- no messing about selecting templates and wondering which knob controls which parameter- it's all there in front of you.
With Ableton this unit really sings- you can be zooming about the screen clicking on Beat Repeat, all it's parameters pop up instantly on the Remote SL, tweak, and you're off again- this time clicking on another Clip's Erosion effect- once again all the parameters are right there in front of you- it's hard to describe how much more creative you can be when things are made this easy! In fact, I'm so excited I've just wet my pants thinking about it!
In addition to all this, the Remote SL also has transport controls- Play, Record, FFWD etc.- you'll never touch your Mouse again-!! This controller has already received rave reviews in Sound On Sound and Future Music but also, much more importantly, the Rubadub seal of approval!!!
