  • Information:  "Golfing Shoes, 1933.    The changing face of women's fashion during the inter-war years was accompanied by a tremendous change in the restraints put on them by society and an involvement in sport as a recreational activity was something which captured the imagination of many women.  Manufacturers responded to the demand for special clothing for golf ('plus fours' even became fashionable for men who had never set foot on a golf course) and these soft leather shoes were designed for women to prevent damage to the turf on the greens as well as to provide a comfortable shoe for walking across the links."

The Nostalgia Postcard Collector’s Club cards were published between 1990-92 and about 1,200 different cards, covering the period 1890-1955, were published. They were printed as postcard style cards with a photograph on the front and an informative note printed across the reverse about the subject of the picture. The pictures published were reproductions of postcards, magazine and newspaper photographs and advertising posters.

I currently have over 1,100 different cards listed on eBay, either as an auction item or as a Buy It Now item in my eBay Shop called Staplehurst Collectables.
