With 10/100 auto-sensing ports, redundant stacking, and several choices for high-speed uplinks including Gigabit Ethernet (1000 Mbps Ethernet),

Nortel's Ethernet Switch 450 models are designed to provide high-density, high-performance switching for large networks.

Key Features:
  •       Twenty-four (24) 10Base-T/100Base-TX or 100Base-FX auto-sensing ports for desktop connectivity.
  •       Flexibility of high-speed uplink options including Gigabit Interface Converter (GBIC)-based MDA (Media Dependent Adapter) for up to 70 km fiber connections to the network core.
  •       Failsafe stacking architecture of up to eight Ethernet 410 and 450-series switches (and Business Policy Switch) in a self-healing, cascade configuration to provide up to 224 ports in a  single managed entity.
  •       Up to 64 port-based or protocol-based 802.1Q VLANs on each switch (any port), to extend broadcast domains and segment network traffic.
  •       MultiLink Trunking (MLT) to provide bandwidth of up to 800 Mbps with automatic failover, useful for spanning multiple units of a stack.
