SIZE APROX: 20 mm, diameter, and 5 mm, thickness

SHREE JAM BHARMALJI I (VS 1642-1688; AD 1586-1632),

this copper coin weight approximately 9,10 grammes, in the names of shree jam Bharmalji and Mahmud bin Latif of Gujarat, This coin seems to be the earliest issue of Kutch State in the Mughal weight standard. It is also important, as it is the first issue of Kutch that inscribes the name of the issuing Jadeja ruler. Also note the regional year 2, which corresponds exactly with the year of his accession. Earlier this type was known from a solitary specimen but now a few more are reported, nevertheless its historical value is not reduced.
