I am selling my entire collection of 37 cb radio's to fund a trip to New Zealand next year. This rare opportunity is the chance for someone to own 5 years worth of collecting in one go! I've spent hundreds if not thousands of hours scouring the internet for these radios, in order to get as many of the top-of-the-range radios as I could. There are only about 2 or 3 more that I wanted to obtain, but this up-coming trip has meant that I may not have the time or funds to get them. My hope was to have an "online CB museum" that people could enter and see all the radios that I had, and see close-up pictures of them. There is a large reserve on them as obviously they are worth a lot of money. I'll get a pic of the boxes up as soon as I can, but viewing is highly recommended to see them close-up, and I haven't got time to unpack 37 radios and take pictures. They all work 100% as I test them as I buy them before they're packed away safely, 35 of them being boxed, all have original mikes, and nearly all of them are mint with some being un-used apart from being tested. There may be the odd box with the polystyrene missing, or maybe the odd missing bracket, instructions or power lead, but not many at all. There are some rare beasties, as well as some of the more commonly seen radios, but to come complete with the boxes means some of then are rare as rocking-horse poo. The only radio's not boxed are the mint Magpie Autoscan 5000, and a Harrier handheld which was used for testing RX/TX audio on the radios. Payment would be cash-on-collection only, no collection by couriers, and there's no way I'd even consider posting these babies. Note: I will not split these radios, they are being sold as one lot. Any questions about splitting them won't be answered I'm afraid as I haven't got the time to keep saying no to people. Let me know if you've any rare 27/81 radios for sale, though, I've still got the bug lol! I've put down the approx value of the radios in todays market. The list is as follows: Unboxed: Mint Magpie Autoscan 5000 in box but not original one ( No worn writing like most ). Wish I'd have found a Magpie box, or a boxed one to buy :( £50 Harrier WT2 handheld (top section of aerial loose) £10 Boxed: Alba CBH2 handheld £20 Audioline 341 £40 Amstrad 901 £30 Alpha 4000 (Mid-block radio, looks exactly the same as Rotel 240) £20 Barracuda HP-940 £35 Binatone 5 star £50 (very rare to get in a box) Binatone Breakerphone (hideaway unit, all controls on telephone-style mike, true 80's retro-style radio) £15 Cybernet Beta 3000 £30 Communicators Ni-440DX £30 Cobra uk29 Nightwatch etc ( UK40 & Mid-block, has adaption to cut out all lighting to avoid hum problems with these radios, convertable to about 400 channels, schematics and instructions included) £70 Fidelity 3000FM Homebase (never seen another boxed one,. This was my 1st CB radio, crap on broadband but great reception!) £30 Fidelity 2000 (never seen another boxed one although poular radios) £30 Fidelity 2001 (don't see many boxed ones) £25 Grandstand Gemini £30 Harrier CBX (probably most popular and sought-after high spec Cb radios, lots about but not many minters like this as they wear badly on front panels) £50 Harvard 410T handheld £20 Harvard 420M £30 Lancaster (very very rare, only legal 40ch FM radio to have a clarifier as far as I know) £50 Lowe TX40 £20 Moonraker Major £40 Mustang 3000 £50 (rare as hen's teeth in a box) Midland 42 Multi handheld (with all in-car accessories) £70 Maxcom 30e (rare in a box) £40 Midland 4001 (not may boxed around) £40 Midland 76-900 Homebase (not may boxed around) £70 Midland Portapack (mobile and portable) £40 Nato 40FM (looks same as Nato 2000, and similar to Rotel 240 etc, rare in a box) £40 Rotel RVC 240 £40 Realistic Easy-Rider (hideaway unit, all controls on mike, very very rare in a box) £40 Radiomobile CB 202 £30 Shogun £35 Transcom 4000 £20 Uniden 200 (black fronted radio, never seen another boxed one) £50 Uniden Uniace 200 £35 York JCB 863 £50.
On 07-Nov-09 at 13:33:47 GMT, seller added the following information: Hi all. Thanks for all the messages. I've had one saying there was no reserve on the advert, even though I'd put one on it originally, and must have come off when I went back in and changed a few things before it went on. Thanks for letting me know. I've also had quite a few funnies, ie: : I'll give you £150 for THE LOT (you know who you are lol) A mint unused Binatone 5star has just sold for £155. My Binatone has got a slightly tattier box, but is also a minter, and I get offered £150 for all 37 radios! There are quite a few people asking if I'm trying to pull a fast-one, and also reckoning that I haven't actually got all of the radios for sale, or any of them due to the fact there are no pictures and therefore no proof I own them. The reason for lack of pictures at the moment is that due to a family situation, I'm currently stopping in Birmingham where I haven't got access to the radios (In Bristol) to take any pics. Due to the fact that there's no reserve which there should be, people seem to think I'm trying to rip them off (which I'm not), and also due to people taking the Pi$$ with paultry offers I'll shortly be taking the radios from sale. They'll be relisted as soon as I can get home and get around to sorting them all out, complete with pictures of each radio/box etc and wired up, and also a pic of all 37 radios together in one pic, to prove I have them and I'm not putting up pics that I've got from the internet as one nice email suggested :s I'll leave this add-on message on the ad for 24hrs so people can see it and the reason why it'll be gone from ebay for a while. Regards, Dave. |
