New TiVo Remote works w/ Series 1, 2, 3, or DirecTV DVR

This is a new in package silver Thomson TiVo Remote. These are true TiVo Brand remotes that were originally provided with the UK version of the series1 TiVo. These are shipped with programming instructions and a list of codes for common US TV’s and come with a 30 day money back guarantee.

They work the same as a standard TiVo remote other than they have a button labeled "Standby" instead of "TV Pwr". This button may be programmed to control most US TV's. It does seem that the codes for the UK version of TVs are different and that these may not work with some newer TV models; codes for common US TVs and programming instructions are available at http://www.eklecticsystems.com/tivo/tvcodes.htm. If your TV model is not on this list, this remote may not be able to control it.

Like all standard series 1 remotes, these do not have an info button, a TV input button, or a DVR/TV switch like those found on series 2 remotes or newer..

NOTE TO OWNERS OF RCA, Zenith, GE, LG, & Vizio TVs.- We had reports from customers that these remotes may not work some models of RCA, Zenith, or GE. They do not work with LG, & Vizio TVs. Please consider this if you own one of these TVs.

Controls most TiVo boxes - Works with TiVo Series2™, TiVo Series3™, Humax Series2, Philips Series1, and Philips, Hughes, Samsung, and RCA DIRECTV DVR boxes with TiVo service. Compatible with Pioneer, Toshiba, and Humax DVD recorder boxes with TiVo service (although lacks DVD-specific keys). Does not work with any Sony TiVo or the Toshiba DVD player with TiVo service (SD-H400).

Bottom line is these will control all standard TiVo functions on any TiVo unit that originally came with a “Peanut” style remote. These also make the perfect 2nd remote or spare.

The 2 buttons labeled "Aux" and "VCR" do nothing on a US type TiVo and are not programmable.
