We ask that buyers ensure that a contact telephone number is included in their address details for all purchases – Doing this ensures a far smoother delivery process.

Shipping and Delivery

Delivery takes place Monday-Friday between 8am and 6pm, we cannot give specific drop times.  We can arrange Saturday drops for larger purchases such as Oven & Hob packages at extra cost, please contact us for details.

Whilst the vast majority of our products are delivered by our carrier on the 'Next business day' after dispatch, our delivery service does NOT guarantee next day delivery.

We will not under any circumstances ship goods without cleared payment.  If you pay by e-cheque through Paypal then it can take up to 10 days to clear.  We suggest that all buyers ensure that their registered card details are up to date with Paypal as this is the most common reason for your payment defaulting to e-cheque and unwanted delays.  We allow a statutory 5 working days after deposit for bank cheques to clear before dispatch of goods.

Delivery covers ground floor only with a one man delivery ie, to your door on ground floor. if you have any special requests for delivery (if for example you live in a flat) please make us aware of this at time of purchase and we shall endeavour to arrange special delivery for you, this may come with an additional charge, please contact us for further information before buying. Our larger appliances are sometimes delivered on a large vehicle with a tail-lift, if your building has any access issues, ie narrow lane etc, you must inform us beforehand.

Whilst we have a very low damage rate with our specially selected carrier, breakages in transit can occur rarely.  Whilst we will do our utmost to assist clients reach a speedy resolution in the very unlikely event of a breakage in transit, you the customer must carry out the following on receipt of your item(s).

All items are opened and checked for signs of physical damage prior to dispatch by us without exception, once you have received your items, you (or the party who takes receipt on your behalf) MUST inspect your goods thoroughly for any physical damage (ie open the box and inspect the goods) and that all items are present.  Any damage or omissions must be reported to us via email to MAIL@THEBIGKITCHENCENTRE.COM within 24hrs of receipt (please include item number, your Ebay username and a brief description of damage or omission), we will confirm receipt of your email by reply.  Additionally you must confirm your claim by telephone as soon as practicably possible during business hours (9-5).  Failure to carry out an inspection as detailed above will compromise any claim we have on your behalf with the carrier or for missing goods.  We strongly recommend that you take out our optional carriage insurance at all times, for your peace of mind.  We will not entertain claims made after this period has elapsed.

We do not dispatch large items (eg ovens and refrigeration) without full postal address and contact telephone number to assist with delivery.  If this information is missing we will contact you via Ebay message to request missing information which will require a response via Ebay message and no other medium, this may result in a delay in dispatch as a result.  It is therefore in your interests to ensure that all relevant information is complete at point of purchase.

IMPORTANT: Items will only be dispatched to the BUYERS REGISTERED E-BAY ADDRESS, any subsequent changes may only be made by telephone and subject to confirmation by email from The Big Kitchen Centre.com.  Whilst many of our items are 'In Stock' and therefore dispatched next business day we strongly recommend that you do not book fitters for your appliances prior to their receipt.  The Big Kitchen Centre LTD cannot and will not accept responsibility for fitting cancellations and associated costs under any such circumstances.  If you have any questions about the availability of your desired product please call us , we will be more than happy to give advice on availability and delivery expectations.

Collections

We do not offer a facility for collections.

Returns Policy

Only faulty items returned in ‘As New’ Condition in all other respects will be accepted (if you have damaged an item attempting installation or attempted installation of a damaged item we will not accept return under any circumstance), replacement or refund will be made as soon as practicably possible once we have recovered the faulty/damaged item and not before.

If an item is being returned because customer ‘Changed Mind’ then the item is to be returned within 14 days of purchase at customers expense via an insured carrier in ‘As New’ condition, we will not accept returns after this period.  After satisfactory inspection a refund will be made within 14 days of receipt minus either:

P&P Costs (including insurance): Where postage costs have been charged

Or

In the case of free P&P:  20% of item cost to cover handling and re-stocking

Note:- We have always operated a policy of issuing feedback to our customers on a unilaterally positive basis after receiving feedback from customers, However we now find that due to a few unreasonable clients we now operate a policy of 'like for like' on any unreasonable feedback received.  Any unnecessary negative or neutral feedback will be reciprocated, we will also give negative feedback to non-payers.
