Aventurine is a unique member of the quartz family, as it is said to carry the healing powers of the green Earth.  It is reputed to heal the heart by releasing emotional stress, thus allowing the uniting of the healthy heart and soul.   Aventurine is reputed to heal emotional pain, fear and inblance by dissolving blocks in the heart Chakra, and to promote universal love, truth, and also prosperity.  It can also assist in the balancing of yin and yang energies.

The silvery flecks which are common to Aventurine are flecks of pyrite,and these are believed to enhance the energy flow to other body areas.  Aventurine is wonderfully relaxing, and can be a great help with sleep problems, especially when these are stress- related.  It is said to promote joy, creativity, clarity and decisiveness, and is often used as a good luck stone, and one which is said to draw prosperity.
