Bidding has ended on this item. Item:Neolithic-Bronze Age Stone Tool ;Very Rare- Look! |

The stone is granite and was found very near, but not within, a hillfort in Dorset. This is a tool (well used) which was utilised to strip fat off gut,in order to sew with it or make bow strings. The drawing I have done to illustrate the method used, hopefully will explain further. The granite had to have been brought in from elsewhere, as the entire surrounding area is almost exclusively flint (high-quality) and some quartzite. As with all my artfacts; I guaranteed them to be 100% genuine and have a quibble-free refund policy if you are unhappy with them in any respect. Thanks for looking-you won't ever see another of these specialist tools on the net. |
