The majority of modern soaps have the desireable (and expensive!) such as clycerine removed and are generally made with animal fats (tallow). To aid the manufacturing process and to extend shelf life they also contain a long list of detergents, stabilisers, preservatives, assorted "E" numbers and alcohol such as Propylene Glycol. The soaps we sell contain none of these "nasties".
