Emerald is one of the oldest precious
stone used by mankind. It has been valued for its healing and
talismanic properties and its beauty for at least 4,000 years, and
legend holds that the Queen of Sheba had an Emerald mine at Mount
Zabarah. Emerald is sacred to Venus, and is thought to be best mounted
in Silver or Copper. Mounted in silver, Emerald is said to sensitize
the wearer to intuitive ideas and psychic aid. Its powers include Love,
Money, Psychism and Protection.
To bring love into your life, charge an Emerald with your need through
visualisation whilst burning a green candle. Wear or carry the Emerald
