 The stem of the apple is attached to a bail
giving a total drop of 2cm.

Taking Care of Silver Jewellery

 
Always keep silver totally dry, keep it away from humidity and excessive exposure to air, store in a tarnish-proof cloth such as a flannel roll or a good quality jewellery box to keep it shining. It is also a good idea to place a small packet of desiccant crystals inside the storage area. All sterling silver items will tarnish naturally over time but can be cleaned very easily. Be particularly careful when attempting to clean silver jewellery set with gemstones as any polish can easily cause damage to them.
Light tarnishing can be removed by using Fairy liquid and water. Carefully brush with a soft bristle brush, such as a baby’s toothbrush. Then rinse with lukewarm water, remove excess moisture and allow to dry thoroughly before storing. Frequent light cleanings are preferable to waiting until the tarnish gets so stubborn that more abrasive polishes need to be used.
