A fine copy of a 1949 National Geographic magazine, Volume 95 Number Four, dated April 1949, and looking at "The British Way". Featured articles include "Our Search for British Paintings" by Franklin L Fisher, and features on key British figures such as Shakespeare, Isaac Newton, John Wesley and Queen Victoria, as well as covering feature by Sir Evelyn Wrench. Aside for a small repaired tear to the base of the spine, this is in great condition for its age, solidly bound with no folds or creases, pages bright and untanned with colour and black and white illustrations, all adverts intact and with light signs of use only. The map is similarly in good condition, with no holes or frays to edges, printed in colour with illustrated border.
