Chest vent zips let you spill some extra heat after a long hike up the ridge, and the adjustable hood and powder skirt shut you off from the nasty conditions. Stash your goggles and MP3 player in their interior pockets, connect the Interceptor to your ski pants with the Pant-a-locks system, and ski off into the powdery goodness.

With HyVent™ technology, The North Face can now deliver the best waterproof/breathable technology for consumers who don't want to pay a premium cost.

We incorporated this technology by utilizing a polyurethane (PU) coating that consists of a tri-component multi-layer formula for waterproof protection, moisture permeability, and durability. This technology was lab tested in The North Face quality assurance lab to ensure the best possible durability and function. The average breathability achieved using HyVent™ is 650g/m2/24 hours on the Moisture Vapor Transfer Rate (MVTR) scale*. To test the level of waterproofness we subjected HyVent™ garments to 20 wash cycles* where on average they retained over 60 PSI on the waterproofing Mullens Test*
