VINTAGE NORITAKE HAND-PAINTED NIPPON CHINA "THE SEDAN" LUNCHEON PLATE, 8 5/8" - 1914. Made in Japan - Noritake pattern # 11292. White china with pink & blue flowers on a tan band on the rim. Trimmed in gold around the rim. Has the M in a wreath (for Morimura) backstamp with Noritake above the wreath and Hand-Painted Nippon below the wreath. This mark was used on the first dinnerware set manufactured by Noritake in 1914. (Backstamp #25 on page 49 in The Collector's Encyclopedia of Noritake, Joan Van Patten, 1994.) These pieces are in very good condition - no chips, cracks or crazing.
