No 1238 from 3rd October with Jethro Tull on the front page, this piece of pop history features pics and articles on the Carpenters/Smallish Pentangle article/Blood, Sweat & Tears/Smallish Horace Faith article with pic/New to the charts are Matthews Southern Comfort/Rod Stewart/Elvis Presley (almost a complete page)/Alexis Korner/Hollies. The middle pages and half of the back page (Crossword completed) are crammed with dozens of pieces of interesting pop info. It has 2 pages of record reviews, including quite a large review of the brilliant Neil Young LP "After The Goldrush", and a charts page with the UK Top 30, Top 20 LP's, US Top 30, US to 30 LP's, Top Ten from 5 years ago, Top Ten from 10 years ago and the Top Ten from 15 years ago. This issue has 16 pages and is one of thousands I bought new in the 60's and 70's. They've been kept flat in my loft and untouched for over 25 years. The spine edge is practically perfect and some of the opening edges have slight wear. The only damage is a half inch tear on one of the middle pages, otherwise in near excellent condition, although it has slightly browned with age.  Not bad for a pop mag that's nearly 38 years old. I would imagine that most of these would have been thrown out or lost over the years, making this and others I have quite rare. If you have any questions/need more detail etc, don't hesitate to ask.
