Nikon AI  NIKKOR 35mm f/2 LENS

This Nikon 35mm lens is the 5th version and first with the AI coupler. It also has multi-coated elements, rubber grip and aperture range to f/22. It was produced in the late 1970's. It's a nice match for a AI or AIS body, Nikon F2A, F2AS, F3, EL2, FA, FG, FM, FE, EM, Nikkormat FT3, etc. but will work on non AI bodies. It will also work with all Digital SLR's in manual mode.

Optics are clear and sharp with no chips, scratches, mold, fungus or haze but there seems to be tiny air bubbles in the second element, see pic #5. It's only noticeable under strong light. This is common in the smelting process of certain shaped elements and does not affect the lens.

The diaphragm looks and feels like new and the blades are super clean. It looks like it's had minimal use by the condition of the stop-down lever and internal mechanics. The aperture ring is smooth with nice click stops. The focusing ring rotates smoothly. There are no dents, dings, scrapes on the paint but does show some light wear, see all pics.
