This is a nice old dark cobalt blue American COFFIN POISON bottle that was dug about 30 years ago at the old Cape Charles, Va. Town dump that was used in the late 1800's to around 1930. The bottle is shaped like a coffin. It stands 3 & 1/2 inches tall. It has POISON embossed down the center of the bottle. It has diamond shaped hob-nails on the front and both sides of the bottle so when it was picked up in the dark you knew you were handling a Poison bottle. The back is smooth. It had a label on the back at one time. It has no chips or cracks. It does have a few tiny scratches on the back and a very tiny pin head ping on the lip.
