3-PIECE FILTER UNITS

These 3-piece filter units are ideal for water testing and for biomedical, microbiological and clinical chemistry. Whatman Filter Funnels are reliable and dependable.

The three-piece construction permits quick filter changing and easy cleaning. Reservoir, base and stem are borosilicate glass with ground contact flanges. Clamping pressure provides a leak-tight seal. Solutions pass through filter and all retained solids are deposited within filter circle. Clamps are plastic-coated for chemical resistance. Replaceable filter support plates of transparent acrylic are suitable for most aqueous solutions and some dilute acids at working temperatures to 65°C maximum.

Whatman 3-Piece Filter Funnels have been designed to complement the range of Whatman fine particle retention, rapid flow rate glass microfiber filters.

Functional Design
Three-piece construction: The funnel is quickly dismantled ready for the insertion of a new filter. The glass sealing flanges of the funnel and reservoir are ground flat to ensure a good filter seal.

Positive Filter Clamping
All retained solids are deposited within the filter circle. Edge clamping prevents peripheral loss and possible passage of solution around, rather than through, the filter circle.

Simple to Clean
The parts can be quickly and efficiently cleaned because of the simplicity of the design.
