You are looking at a BRAND new 4 Wire Universal Oxygen sensor.
Has you car failed the MOT on emmisions? Well dont replace the CATALYTIC CONVERTOR yet!
The Oxygen sensor or LAMBDA sensor controls how much fuel gets put into the engine. If this becomes faulty, then it can fail the MOT.
I ran my own garage and MOT station for 10 years and would replace lots of these sensors, sometimes you would have to replace the CAT as well, but it was always worth trying the £30 LAMBDA sensor first before replacing the £200 CAT!
This is BRAND NEW and is a universal 4 wire type fitting that covers many many models.
'4 wire' sensors are fitted to lots of manufacturers including, Alfa Romeo, BMW, Citroen, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Mazda, Porsche, Peugeot, Volkswagon, Mercedes, Jaguar,Saab, Volvo, Vauxhall, Ford, TVR, Maserati, Mini, opel, Rover, Mg, Renault, Triumph, Seat, Skoda, Toyota, etc, Please check your own vehicle for application, They have the 22 mm nut head fitting, and the 18mm thread
Thess are 'ZIRCONIA' sensors not 'Titania'. In other words not ALL 4 wire sensors can be replaced with this universal one, just 4 wire Zirconia sensors.
According to the 2006 NGK oxygen sensor catalogue, this includes:
All Alfa Romeo's Renaults Saab Daewoo Renault Rover Seat Audi VW Fiat Ford Honda Hyundai Mazda Mercedes Mitsubishi Nissan Ferrari Rover Citreon
So its a pretty safe bet that it will fit your car!
NOTE TO EBAY: This is not keyword spamming, this item does fit a model from all of these manufacturers They are a universal replacement for your '4 Wire' item
Fitting these sensors is a simple job for the DIY mechanic, and often even easier than replacing your original sensor with one from your manufacturer. In a nutshell, fitting procedure is: 1) remove existing sensor from exhaust 2) cut wires going to original item somewhere near the sensor unit. 3) fit the new universal sensor into the exhaust 4) match up the wire colours, insert the wire into the prefitted crimp on the new sensor and then crimp with pliers or similar. 5) Warm prefitted heatshrink to seal joints.
Thats it!
The wire colours are Black, grey and white. If your sensor has a red wire, chances it are is a Titania sensor, we do not carry these in stock at present. If your sensor has Brown, green, purple, beige, black, grey or white, then it is a almost certainly a zirconia sensor as per this auction.
