Introduction

Marumi is a leading Japanese optical company with fifty years experience in the design and production of high quality optical filters. The latest DHG (Digital High Grade) filters have been designed to give the optimum performance with digital SLR cameras. Marumi filters are specifically designed not to impair picture quality when used with cameras with CCD's and CMOS Sensors. Each Filter has a special ultra - low coating and a black outer filter edge which significantly reduces flare, ghost imaging and over exposure.

Black-ink processing on lens' outer rim Lens' outer rim blacked with ink to minimize the inner reflection.

Special frame Satin-like smooth frame for all types to minimize extra reflection.

Specifications Marumi 62mm light control filter

The Marumi DHG Light Control-8 filter allows shooting 3-stops slower by the aperture value and represents pictures at the correct exposure. Great for situations where there is to much light. A good example could be when taking photo's of water. It is desirable to work with a slower shutter speed to create the impression of the waters movement. If the light is to bright this is impossible to achieve without a light control / neutral density filter.
