Celebrating the 125th anniversary of Oscar Barnack birthday this set includes a 'Prototype II body with 50mm F3.5 Anastigmat lens, leather carrying case, DVD, book and fine-art print in a silk lined presentation case.

Includes a fine-art print from one of Oscar Barnacks original negatives taken 90 years ago around Wetzlar and there is a choice of one print from ten different images.



Introduced at Photokina 2000,
Leica "O" replica camera is virtually identical to the 1923 protype Leica "O".

 Unlike the Ur-Leica replicas, this is a true, fully-functional production camera.

Limited EDITION 2000 units have only been made!



It is largely hand build using original drawings together with measurements taken from an original "O" series camera in the factory museum.
As with the original, the shutter speed is controlled by varying the slit width between the shutted blinds, which travel at a constant speed.
The shutter speed dial is calibrated in slit widths of 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50mm, corresponding to shutter speeds of 1/500, 1/200, 1/100, 1/50 and 1/20 sec. respectively.
 The shutter is not self-capping, so a leather lens cap is provided, attached by a cord to the front of the camera body, just like the original, to place over the lens during film advance and shutter winding.

The viewfinder is a hinged lens with cross-hars and a swing-up front sight.

The Leitz Anastigmat lens is a recomputation of the original Anastigmat design of Max Bereck, but it has modern multiple coatings.
 Like the original, it fully retracts into the body for transport and it is non-interchangeable.

The camera has a black paint finish with nickel plated knobs and is delivered in a real leather ever-ready case.
