Guide to item condition
All items are offered with their contents complete, unless otherwise described.
| Mint/New |
The item is in new condition. Any minor flaws will be noted. |
| Excellent |
It is in excellent condition with few signs of previous ownership or storage. These may include minimal sellotape or light marks where lid has been secured, or slight wear to corners of box. Pieces may be bagged in a different bag from the original for their security, and will be in excellent condition. Original paperwork (guarantees or advertising flyers) may not be present. |
| Very good |
This item is in complete, unless otherwise stated. Box may have some fading and/or scuffing; sellotape may have been used to secure lid. There may be some non-obtrusive writing on box. Pieces will be excellent on the whole, but there may be one or two with bends in them or slight scuffing/marking. A jigsaw interesting due to age or subject may come into this category even if missing a piece, if the overall effect is not spoiled. Any missing pieces will be noted in the listing above. |
| Fair |
This is complete in all respects, unless otherwise described, but is in obviously second-hand condition and is likely to suffer from a combination of faults from fading, writing or tearing through to a missing or damaged box. Some of the pieces may be bent, scuffed or marked although the overall effect of the finished jigsaw will still be reasonable. A jigsaw interesting due to age or subject will come into this category if missing a piece or pieces, if the overall effect is still reasonable, or it is still a desirable object from a historical point of view. Any missing pieces will be noted in the listing above. |
| Poor |
This jigsaw would be suitable for use only as a challenge! It is probably not complete and suffers from a number of faults that may include missing box, scruffy pieces, excessive sellotape, scribble, etc. |
