Weaving is an art form common to many cultures.  While it started out as a means to making basic necessities, it very quickly developed into an intricate procedure.  Today, artists from around the world spend their lifetimes creating amazing pieces from threads and yarns, using simple hand looms.  This particular tapestry is adorned with some of the quaint buildings one might find in a little town tucked away off the beaten track.  Thick tassels hang from the end and interesting open work patterns add changes in texture.  The top is ready for a rod (not included).  This lovely hanging would be wonderful in many styles of decor, particularly Southwestern or Central/South American.  Please be sure to look around our store for more delightful hand weavings!
