This guitar arrived here recently direct from Fender GBI the official UK distributor of Fender. It's the first time we've had this guitar in stock since December 2008, there's quite a wait on these guitars. However please note there is JUST ONE relic guitar (I also have an NOS version in stock too - see our ebay store http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Guitar-Mania for details) so if interested don't waste too much time. If this sells it may be another 4 months before we can get another.

A cornerstone of Pink Floyd’s revolutionary and incomparable sound, David Gilmour’s Black Strat is featured extensively on The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall and his critically-acclaimed 2006 solo effort, On An Island.

The Fender Custom Shop worked hand-in-hand with David Gilmour and his longtime guitar technician, Phil Taylor, to create his signature model, a reproduction of the Black Strat—complete with its unmistakable look, sound and feel. Featuring a Black lacquer over Three-color Sunburst alder body with a black pickguard, one-piece maple neck, custom pickups, and David Gilmour’s now-famous electronics and shortened vintage tremolo arm, the David Gilmour Signature Series Stratocaster is as beautiful, powerful and idiosyncratic as David Gilmour’s playing. Additionally, David Gilmour’s signature guitar comes with a custom case, Evidence Audio™ high-end guitar cable, David Gilmour’s three-disc Live in Gdansk CD/DVD package, and a copy of Phil Taylor’s The Black Strat book

Guitar Mania Note: sadly this guitar does not come with the DVD set. I understand Fender are working on a solution for UK and European customers but at the moment there is no DVD available. I guess it may be the whole DVD region thing....

Shipping:
Delivery to England, Wales, Southern & Eastern Scotland (or any area coloured YELLOW) is via FedEx courier service at £20.00
In most cases this is a NEXT WORKING day service.
For Northern Scotland (or any GREEN area), Scottsih Isles, Northern Ireland, I.O.M etc delivery is also £20.00 but will take 2-3 days.

TERMS, CONDITIONS AND SMALL PRINT - PLEASE READ:
Please respect our 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK rating and understand that by bidding / buying you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

1) COURIER DELIVERY:
i) Orders received before 1:00pm Monday to Friday are despatched same day for a next WORKING day delivery (please make allowances for Bank Holidays, Saturdays etc)
ii) We are not responsible for courier delays and cannot enter into discussions regarding compensation for late delivereis.
iii) We use FedEx. If you are not in you will be "carded". Re-delivery will be the following working day UNLESS you contact them. If you are carded twice the goods remain at your local FedEx depot for collection for FIVE DAYS only. After this period the goods are returned to us. Unfortunately then you will be liable for a DOUBLE delivery charge IN ADDITION to what you have already paid.
iv) International delivery will usually be via DHL. The goods MUST be signed and we can ONLY deliver to the credit card holders CONFIRMED address.
2) POSTAL SERVICE DELIVERY - we are not responsible for postal delays. 99% of the time they get it right however, they do allow themselves 15 days before they declare an item missing even if it's 1st class recorded.
3) PAYMENT must be received within 3 days.
4) WARRANTY: New goods are sold with manufacturers ONE YEAR warranty, unless stated otherwise.
5) USED GOODS are sold "AS IS", with no warranty offered or implied, condition as stated.
6) DAMAGES. 'Damaged in transit' goods - to be reported within 24 hours of delivery. No damage claims or returns will be accepted after 24 hours. Goods will be collected by our courier, returned here for inspection then a replacement item shipped ASAP but allow 28 days.
7) RETURNS: Returns policy NEW ITEMS:
We aim to provide the best possible service at the lowest possible prices but we stil want you to be happy with your goods. Help us to keep our prices low and provide a fast and efficient service by reading these notes regarding Returns as outlined below:
i) You have the right to return new items within 14 days. Please notify us in advance in writing for authorisation. It is your responsibility to return the goods to us at your expense. They must be in A1 NEW re-sellable condition and complete with ALL original documentation. Refunds will be excluding delivery charges and subject to a 20% re-stocking / admin fee. Your credit / debit card / paypal will be credited within 28 days.
ii) Wrong item - (this hasn't happened to us yet but there's no harm in having a policy in case it does !!) if you have received the wrong item please keep hold of the goods and original packaging and contact us. We will arrange for collection at our cost.
iii) Faulty goods - in the event of your item developing a fault please return the goods to us as soon as possible. Please ensure the item is well packed and contact us in advance for returns authorisation. You are advised to use an insured courier for safety and traceability. Goods sent without authorisation will be refused and NOT signed for. Once the goods arrive we will repair or replace at our discretion as soon as possible.
iv) Faulty goods, additional note: Guitars with interpretational / subjective issues like action, tone, grain of wood, colour etc are not faults as such and therefore excluded from our Faulty Goods policy and will not be exchanged, fixed or replaced. (We could spend all day discussing the merits of high / low action. For example too low action = too much fret buzz for some, too high = great for strumming but no good for shredding etc). You still of course have the right to return your item under section i) of these terms and conditions or if the guitar develops a fault that is specifically covered by the manufacturers warranty (see manufacturer for details)
v) used items - NO RETURNS available on used items unless specified otherwise in the Item Description.
