About Us

Founded in 1983, WSS began life in a small industrial unit in Dumfries.  In the last 2 decades, we have grown steadily year by year and now occupy a 4 acre site on the outskirts of Dumfries, Scotland.

We offer a comprehensive range of products from a humble light bulb to a 9 tonne Dumper truck with most items immediately available from stock.  We predominately sell lawn & garden, power tools and wood working equipment online but our range of products well exceeds these so please call or email us if you need more information. 

With our extensive technical knowledge of our products and their application by the trades, our customers benefit from a superior level of service and after sales support.

For your convenience we accept PayPal.  However we appreciate you may like to speak to 'real' people from time to time and for this reason we offer a friendly over-the-phone service where we can fully discuss payment and delivery options. We accept debit/credit cards (no AMEX) over the phone, cheques made payable to West Skelston Services Ltd, postal orders and bankers drafts.

All our adverts state standard mainland UK carriage. This means some areas in Northern Scotland & the Highlands may be subject to a surcharge. It is very likely there will be a surcharge if your postcode falls within one of the following IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, ZE. BT, IM, TR21-25. 

NORTHERN IRELAND is subject to a surcharge due to the ferry charge.  We hold every item on eBay in stock (with exceptions which are clearly stated on each individual advert - in these cases the products will be shipped direct from the manufacturer on a 3-5 working day service). If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. We will ALWAYS endeavour to get the product to you at the best price.

We offer a next-working service with 3 major carriers (exceptions are clearly stated on each advert - if doubt please ask). When paying by credit/debit card, we will ship your item the same day (before 4pm) and it will be with you between 8am-5pm the next working day where applicable. All items sent are FULLY insured so be rest assured if it gets lost or damaged in transit you will receive a replacement asap. 

IF YOU ARE PURCHASING A HONDA PRODUCT - YOU MUST ADVISE US OF CARRIAGE DAMAGE WITHIN 24 HOURS.

Returns & Refunds

We will offer a full refund and arrange an uplift under the following circumstances: 

The item you receive is incorrect and not the item you ordered. 

The item is received damaged (we must be advised within 24hrs) 

If you have ordered the item and changed your mind you may send the item back at your own cost and we will refund you less any handling charges and carriage (standard handling charge is 20%). The item must be un-used and in it's original box. If you have any questions regarding this please do not hesitate to call us.
