The Floppy drive inside is a SONY branded MPF82E.

This is a floppy drive for all Dell D Series Laptops.
It can fit in the modular bay or used as external drive using a USB A to Mini B cable.

 

We have tried and tested these in the following Dell laptop/notebook models:

Latitude X300, D400, D500, D505, D510, D600, D610, D800 and D810.

Inspiron 500m, 600m, 8500 and 8600.

We have also tested it externally through a D-Bay adapter in the Inspiron 300M and Latitude X300.

This can also be used as an External USB Floppy Drive With Any Laptop / Notebook or PC With USB Port (USB Cable needed is USB A to Mini B, Not Supplied with Sale)
