FLOWERS: ATTRACTIVE AND COLOURFUL BLOOMS FROM SPRING-SUMMER, SINGLE FLOWERS, POLLINATED BY BEES IN UK, AND BEETLES IN CALIFORNIA.

SOIL: THEY PREFER SANDY, WELL-DRAINED SOIL, YET ARE ADAPTABLE TO MOST WELL-DRAINED SOILS-THEY CAN SURVIVE SHORT DROUGHT CONDITIONS AND ARID CLIMATES.
