They are approximately an hour long and during the course of that time the sounds do progress, change and give you a sense of time passing and travel, movement.

There is no music on these Nature titles.

They are very detailed recordings so that you do hear all the complex subtle layers of sound that makes up reality. For instance if you listen to RAIN, you don't "just" hear Rain. You will hear the far off ambience as the rain builds and falls on grass; the breeze building into swirling wind; foliage being splattered on; water gathering into a stream and gurgling away; leaves in the trees moving to the weather; the birdsong reacting to the weather change......and so on. What you DON'T get is 60 mins. of one sound "rain". These are real time professional recordings crated and layered to create wonderful ambiences.

All you hear is pure nature, there are no children playing, planes, cars, dogs barking, or distant traffic to distract the listener.
