NATIVE AMERICAN, NAVAJO, STERLING SILVER & RED CORAL, KOKOPELLI EARRINGS
Here's a terrific pair of sterling silver & red coral earrings that we purchased at a jewelry & crafts co-op on the Navajo Reservation in Eastern Arizona. The earrings were crafted by the wonderfully talented Navajo artist Forinda Peralto.
Florinda made these earrings to feature their carved Kokopelli figures. She further adorned each earring with very attractive hand stamped designs and a nice piece of red coral that is set in a silver saw tooth bezel.
The earrings measure 1+1/2" long (including the ear wires) and are 1" wide. The pair weighed in at 8 grams, are stamped sterling and have the co-op's hallmark.
NOTE1: The dark spots that appear on the upper and lower parts the earrings are just reflections of our camera. The highly polished surfaces, and the convex shape, made these earrings quite difficult to photograph.
This wonderful example of high quality, handmade, Native American jewelry will make a great gift for yourself, or for that special someone in your life.
