My beloved B&W P5's
These were the first floor standing speakers I bought after exhausting wall mounted options.
They slaughtered all opposition at the time (Mission, Kef etc.) and I'd still put them in with the best now!
I'm letting them go because of an amplifier upgrade (Pioneer AX10i) and they can't hang on at the higher (170W per channel) amp output. They will hold on up to about 100W, normal nosebleed level for most people! I've stuck with B&W and gone "on" to Nautilus 804's.
When first purchased they suited the NAD surround sound seamlessly and in stereo mode are searching and driving.
The tweeters ( their only design flaw) have both been recently replaced so sonically they are perfect, and cosmetically there is a small "bruise" on one....see photo.
The boxes and spikes are available....I just have to send one of the kids up into the attic to find them!
They would be impractical and expensive to send so I'd urge audition and collection...it's up to you!
I've put a reserve on them because I can find another use for them and would prefer not to give them away.
