Multi Color Liddicoatite Tourmaline Slice Madagascar

Description :
You are bidding on a rare slice of liddicoatite tourmaline. What makes tourmaline liddicoatite is that it is calcium rich. This slice measures 31 mm X 35 mm. This slice is from Madagascar. This slice was cut from an alluvial crystal and retains its natural shape. This liddicoatite forms with triangles in the center. This slice is green. It has a number of triangles and triangualar markings all in varying shades of green. Liddicoatite is named after Richard T. Liddicoat, the "father of modern gemology" and one of the people responsible for making the GIA what it is today.
