A very unusual fish paste pot which is printed on the underside with Thos Muirhead & Sons 20 Victoria Street Manchester.  It has a fish (salmon, trout?) printed 3 times around the side.  It measures 13cm (5.2") across and 3.5cm (1.4") tall.  It has one large chip to the bottom edge and also a knock/bruise to the bottom edge (This said it displays very well).

I would estimate it would date from around 1890/1900.  Muirhead is listed in the 1895 directory as Fish & Game salesmen and I sure I've seen standard meat paste pots from them previously.  The Bishop & Stonier Hanley (Bisto) mark is on the base
