This  valve head amplifier enables a low output moving coil cartridge to be fed into the normal moving magnet input

of an amp. or preamp.

Its is made by a company in Hong Kong and its performance is way above what I expected when I first tried it.

I had tried several stepup transformers but had found it impossible to avoid hum pickup with them. This amp has

a remote power supply and no hum at all. The clarity and soundstage were both at a higher level than I had experienced before.

It has the advantage of that " valve sound" and I have fitted a Nos. Western electric valve to improve the sound further.

The original valve is supplied as a spare. Please do not think that this is a cheap Chinese item, it is a high quality audiophile component.
