Fabulous solid oak desk by Lizardman, an apprentice of Robert Thompson 'Mouseman'. The desk has a beautiful grain to the golden oak and is superbly crafted using traditional methods. The desk has a large solid oak planked desk top working area 6 foot in width. The large knee well is flanked by two banks of graduated drawers and there is a felt lined pull out slide to the top of the left hand pedestal. The bottom drawer to each pedestal is for filing and have the runners for suspension files. The drawers are dovetail jointed and oak lined with thick cut oak. There is a hand carved lizard signature motif to the right leg of the front of the desk. The desk has superbly crafted fielded panels to the sides, back and inside the knee well making the desk attractive from all angles. A current range Mouseman desk of similar proportions would retail in excess of £6000. There are very light knocks and marks commensurate for light use. Overall the desk is in excellent condition and would look magnificent in any home, office or study.
