Mosrite Ventures Mark V Electric Guitar

This is an extremely rare and well preserved example of a Mosrite Ventures Mark V (Mark 5) electric guitar.  Luminescent Pearl White finish is immaculate with no scratches, dents or dings. Neck is arrow straight and all the electronics work properly.  Serial number is B1480 which dates guitar somewhere between 1966-1968. Original Mosrite pickups sound great giving you a tonal range anywhere from Johnny Ramone to jazz and those classic Venture surf sounds. Thin, fast rock maple neck feels great with low action and the famous "zero" fret.  Frets still have plenty of life in them.  Die cast Moseley tail piece.  I believe Semie Moseley to be one of the most original and innovative guitar manufacturer's of all time and there is no doubt that this rare museum quality example of his craftsmanship will only go up over time. This an amazing guitar!! Fender type hardshell case will be included.

Update:  Regarding the finish.  I have received several inquiries regarding whether the finish is original or if this is indeed, a refinish.  I am not the original owner of the guitar so I cannot be 100% certain.  When I purchased the guitar over 15 years ago, I could not believe the quality of the finish...there was literally not a nick or scratch on this then 30 y/o guitar.  I looked at the neck joints and headstock and there did not appear to be any overspray of any kind.  I knew this was a stock color for the year so I assumed at the time either it was the original finish or a really great refin job.  To confirm, I recently took the guitar to a vintage expert in NYC and this is what he determined.  Upon first seeing the guitar, he could also not tell if it was the original finish.  He then took me into a room and held the guitar up to a blacklight which he uses to authenticate finishes.  He determined that when the guitar was held up to the blacklight, the guitar did not "flash" which indicated it was most likely a refinish.  He did, however, admit that if it was a refin, it was a highly professional, quality refinish.  Hope this clarifies this issue for those of you who have been asking.
