Modern rag doll sewing kit
Due to the many requests I have had for a modern rag doll, I developed yet another lovely new design especially for today’s modern young girls. She is made from the softest faux suede fabric, has NO FACE SEAM, high ponytail, little ears, and sweet little two tone shoes that fasten with Velcro. When I heard that a very popular modern rag doll is now out of production, I thought it was such a shame, especially when it had become a firm favourite in playgrounds around the country. So here is a doll that is very similar in design and feel to that most fashionable doll, and I’m sure she will be loved just as much. This kit will make 1 x 19 inch high doll with outfit as shown. The doll in this sewing kit has a light shade skin tone. The kit includes the sewing pattern and all materials needed to make one doll, dressed in a bias cut vest top top and jogging suit. Hair is double knitting yarn, styled with a fringe, and ponytail.
Pattern is easy to understand, and uses lots of diagrams and photographs to help explain the step by step instructions.
The pattern can be re-used many times, so you can use your remnants of fabric to make as many dolls as you like. (But to get the authentic modern feel, the doll itself is best made in faux suede fabric.) They are ideal as fund raisers for schools or charities.
This is what you will receive. Your package will contain all the materials and sewing notions you need to create one doll. There will be some lovely, velvety soft faux suede in a pale tone skin colour, some white jersey, pink cotton for the vest, pink, white and black felt, black yarn for hair, and of course ribbon, piping, elastic and all threads needed. You are buying a complete rag doll sewing kit – NOT the DOLL! The doll is shown so you can see what the finished article will look like. This kit comes with all fabric, thread and yarn and filling needed to complete the doll and outfit.
