SCALE MODEL SOLAR SYSTEM WITH ROTATION MOTORS

This model of the solar system was built by members of Blackpool & District Astronomical Society. The eight hand painted planets are made of polystyrene and Paper Mache and were built for a local exhibition. A short video which includes the planets rotating can be seen on the society website. The largest Jupiter is 65cm diameter

Each rotates, suspended on wire with it's own 1.5v motor, Jupiter however requires a 240v supply.

This auction is for the model planets and rotors only the starry backdrop and the information boards are not included. However the backdrop material can be purchased new at about £10 for 50ft x 4ft.
