Mitsubishi GDI (Fits some Volvo) are prone to failure. BBA-reman now provides Mitsubishi/Volvo remanufactured throttle bodies. They suffer from poor injector spray patterns, cooked cylinder heads and inlet ports and this leads to the eventual failure of the throttle body.
Some of the Symptoms of a malfunctioning throttle body are:
- Poor/Rough inconsistent idle speed
- Poor acceleration and flat spots.
