Mississippi

Showing the state with counties, with towns, rivers and railway lines, as in the late 1800's. Measures just slightly less than A4 - 22x27cm in total.

This map is an old book plate which has been taken from a defunct copy of the 1883 edition of the Encylopaedia Britannica Dictionary of Arts, Sciences and General Literature, ninth edition, volume XVI. As such, it has one rough edge where it has been removed (see image).

Otherwise in very good condition, apart from slight yellowing.
