Mirage T-26C Model 1939

Soviet Light Tank

1/72 , 20mm , HO/OO

Brand new, sealed and unbuilt.

Ref No : 72612

The T-26 single turret tank was further modified in 1937 by replacing the cylindrical turret with an oval conical turret. This new welded steel plate design was necessary to accomodate a new tank radio set, more ammunition and an improved gun. Further improved in 1939, the hull was widened to allow more storage space inside with sloped sides which aslo improved it's resistance to small arms fire. The T-26C was armed with a 45mm Mk1932 and had a crew of 3 men. The T-26C Model 1939 was used by the Red Army in large numbers with 1,400 being intially delivered. Large numbers were also captured and pressed into service by enemy forces, particularly by the Finnish Army.

 

Whether for wargaming or just building for display this brand new kit is a beauty. Not to be missed.
