THE DIAL: 100% mint, the satin silver dial with gold baton markers, signed, "Omega Automatic, Chronometer, Specially Certified, Chronometer, Swiss Made". Dial with gold/luminous dauphine hands and gold centre seconds. Diameter is 31 mm. The crystal is also in excellent condition. Please note that there are multiple reflections from this glass, the dial is perfect. The watch with a date box at 3.00 and this adjusted by turning the hands through 24 hour periods. THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with polished red gold plates and finely engraved balance cock. A shiny blued steel Bosely regulator, and ruby endstone setting, blue steel screws. With an uncut two arm gold and steel balance, with overcoiled hairspring. The movement fully signed "Omega", with 24 jewels and two adjustments, a calibre 561, with auto-rotor to centre. The movement in crisp and clean order, and number of 23,053,xxx, dating the watch movement to 1966. The plates in very fine condition, and the gilt winding crown in fine order, with Omega symbol. The watch is a classic example of high grade Omega engineering. The watch is much brighter and crisp than in these dark photos, which are limited by my camera and lighting equiment. The watch is in very good working order for its age. THE CASE: 100% mint, the solid 18k gold two piece case measures an impressive 34 mm x 41 mm. The front cover is excellent and snaps on tightly. The case with "Omega" triangular stamp, OWC, ALD stamp and full details and case numbers, 166,xxx and 271,xxx. The case stamped with 18k gold, and Birmingham hall marks. To the reverse is the characterstic Omega Constellation logo in raised detail and as fresh and crisp as the day when the watch was first made. THE BRACELET: 100% mint, the solid 18k gold mesh integral bracelet measures an impressive 18.5 cm fully extended. There is a central clasp which measures a tad over 1.1 cm, and can easily be lengthened if required up to ca. 3.0 cm. The watch band in quite excellent condition, and it is not twisted or stretched, or marked in any way and with a very fine Omega stamped clasp. The band stamped with 18k gold, and Birmingham hall marks, and ALD case maker mark and Omega Watch Company triangle mark. The rear of the case with the costellation observatory and 8 stars, nice and crisp. The watch comes with its original red Omega presentation box. The complete watch weights 99 grams and with a scrap 18k gold price of nearly £315 per ounce (ca. 28 grams per ounce), so a hefty and very valuable item This is a high quality mens solid 18k gold Omega Constellation watch, a work of art in its own right in crisp condition and of jewel like quality.
