English delightful HALFSIZE cylinder wine C1830+ well sealed “MIDDLE TEMPLE” with pictorial lamb and flag emblem between nicely placed on shoulder. This well stamped seal in round style, and highly detailed. Original full surface gloss with light whittling, Some original cellar grime and port sediment inside which washes off if required but most don't. Full original gloss beneath.  Black glass (dark olive green), very rough sand pontil within crude conical kickup, sagged base with whittled sides and nice crudity, to rounded shoulders, leading to short slightly bulged neck leading to conjoined rounded lip and stringrim. This variation probably the most saught after of all the Middle Temples, freeblown (dipmolded) shows dipmold line to shoulder. Excellent example with original port sediment and some nice bubbles and striations. 8 5/8" high, 2 5/8" Diameter.
